Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Margarita glasses
  • Small plate or saucer (for rimming glasses)
  • Citrus juicer (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • Lime wedges (for garnish)
  • Salt or sugar (for rimming the glasses)

Instructions

Prepare the Glasses

  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of each margarita glass.
  • Dip the rims in salt or sugar on a small plate or saucer. Set the glasses aside.

Blend the Ingredients

  • In a blender, combine the strawberries, banana, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, simple syrup, and ice cubes.
  • Blend on high speed until smooth and frothy. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a bit more ice or a splash of water to achieve the desired consistency.

Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the margarita mixture. If it's not sweet enough, add more simple syrup. If it needs more tang, add more lime juice. Blend again to incorporate any adjustments.

Serve

  • Pour the margarita mixture into the prepared glasses.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of each glass

Enjoy

  • Serve immediately and enjoy your Strawberry Banana Margarita!

Notes

Tips

  • For a non-alcoholic version, you can replace the tequila and triple sec with an equal amount of orange juice and a splash of club soda or sparkling water.
  • You can use frozen strawberries instead of fresh ones, which can also help achieve a thicker, slushier texture.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup according to your preference.
This Strawberry Banana Margarita is a delightful blend of fruity flavors and a great way to enjoy a cocktail with a bit of a nutritional boost from the fresh fruits. Cheers!
